Andrew J. Grill concentrates his practice in civil rights litigation and represents Illinois municipalities, governmental officials and their insurers in highly complex federal and state litigation at the trial and appellate levels with emphasis on civil rights, police misconduct and reverse conviction defense. He also has significant experience providing nationwide representation for business organizations, their employees and agents in complex commercial, tort and governmental litigation on both the plaintiff and defense side at the state and federal level. Prior to entering private practice Andrew worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney (Peoria County; DuPage County – 2006-2012) trying to verdict in excess of 150 bench trials and over 60 jury trials.
Andrew is an alum of Marquette University where he received a B.S. in Economics (1999) and is a 2006 graduate of the John Marshall Law School, in Chicago, Illinois. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 2006 and became a Trial Bar Member of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 2013 and the Central District of Illinois in 2015.
