George J. Banakis
George Banakis is a Senior Tax Counsel at Rock Fusco & Connelly and concentrates his practice in Real Estate Taxation where he represents clients throughout Illinois in administrative and adjudicative proceedings in order to secure favorable tax assessments and exemptions. His experience includes appearances before the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board, the Cook County Board of Review, and the Circuit Court of Cook County.
George received his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 2012 and an LL.M. in Real Estate Law with Honors in 2016.
George was selected by Leading Lawyers as an “Emerging Lawyer” in 2020.
Prior to joining the firm, George practiced at a boutique law firm in Chicago representing a variety of companies, real estate developers and investors in property tax matters, commercial and residential real estate transactions, and zoning matters.
